Panda Eyes
I was there at the airport early waiting for their arrival. After what seems like an eternity, I knew they were here when thunderous shouts erupted around me. I pushed my way forward to catch a glimpse of him. Like other fans, I started chanting his name asking that he autograph whatever I have in my hands. Miraculously, he heard me. He started towards me asking for my name while he signed my jersey. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!
I woke up damn late on the day of the game simply because I don't want to count down the hours to seeing him again. By 4pm, I was there chopping the best seats with the best view. The weather was hot, almost burning my clothes. 7pm, they emerge from the tunnel. The crowd erupted with cheers. I felt quite sad for the Singapore Team. But you know what, they deserve it. =X
The match was predictable and eye opening for a woman like me who haven't seen them play before. They won 3-0 and exchanged jerseys with the SG players. I wish then I was in their shoes. As they started back into the tunnel, I managed to sneak in as well and there he was.... We chatted and...... who knows what happened next? =D
This is what's been on my mind for the past few nights. How I will meet him. Steven Gerrard. And that's why I've been coming to work late even when taking cabs. That's why I haven't been able to sleep until the early early like 2am. That's why I have dark circles. And the match is like exactly 2 months and 1 day from now.
I know.. I know... I've been dreaming much too early. But I can't stop myself. Now I need help.
